  1. Prepare 300 gm dates
  2. Prepare 2 tbsp pure ghee
  3. Prepare 1/2 bowl almonds
  4. Get 1/2 bowl milk powder
  5. Make ready 1/2 bowl desiccated coconut powder
  6. Make ready 1 tsp desiccated coconut powder for coating ladoo

How to get perfect Dates Ladoo? If your dates has seeds, de-seed it and use it. We saut?? the dates till soft and grind. So if possible, use fresh coconut.

Steps to make Coconuts and dates ladoo:
  1. Remove seeds from dates and grind to a fine paste.
  2. Heat pure ghee in a non-stick wok and fry almonds. When they cool grind it coarsely.
  3. Add dates paste in remaining ghee in wok and cook on low flame till it turn thick. Add milk powder and mix well. Cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Now add desiccated coconut powder and mix well and keep stirring till it turn thick again.
  5. Add coarsely grinded almonds and mix it well. Stir and cook for 2 minutes. Switch off the flame. Let this mixture turns lukewarm.
  6. Now make small balls of mixture and roll it round. Coat these balls in dessicated coconut powder and keep in a plate. Like wise make all the laddoos.
  7. These laddoos can be stored in refrigerator upto 10 days. A very nutritious dessert for growing kids with richness of B vitamins.

Also these coconut ladoos can be made in so many ways, these I made using condensed milk but one can also make them in the traditional way using sugar syrup. Coconut laddoo is a very simple and easy recipe to make. These are made with few ingredients. Traditionally in Indian households ladoos are served Boil the milk and coconut in heavy bottom pan over medium high heat (I am using heavy non stick pan), do stir occasionally. I had bought some desiccated coconut for rolling the date nut ladoos in and it seemed like a good idea to use them up to make some coconut ladoos for Diwali.
